Brothers Supporting YoungLife
Brothers General Manager, Mark Hennelly was recently on hand to present a $2,000 cheque to YoungLife Ipswich Area Manager, Chloe Wright.
YoungLife is a national organisation whose mission is to build confidence, values and resilience in Australia’s young people through significant relationships with adult role models who model the love of Christ.
In Ipswich, they run a night time club that provides a safe environment for teenagers to come along and have dinner, play games and experience different activities. They also run 2 camps a year, including a local QLD camp and their national camp.
Ms Wright said the donation from Brothers will be put towards their September local camp out at Boonah.
“With this money we are able to bring along disadvantaged youth that would otherwise not be able to come as they could not afford to come. On this camp the young people will be able to face their fears and enjoy being adventurous through various activities and also learn more about themselves. They will be able to make new friends, have some time away from the pressures of everyday life, build confidence and also learn more about themselves through the activities that we will be running.”
The camp runs from the 26th to the 30th of September at Boonah.
