The Brothers Leagues Club community came together on the 14th of November 2025 to celebrate outstanding achievements of our young athletes at the Junior Sports Star Awards Night. This event is dedicated to recognising the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of juniors across all Brothers Kindred Clubs. Since its inception in 1999, the program has been an important way to honour exceptional junior performance as well as effort, attitude, and community spirit.
We were thrilled to welcome 95 attendees, including special guests Councillor Jacob Madsen and Australian basketball icon Michelle Timms, who delivered an inspiring speech encouraging our young athletes to believe in themselves and keep pushing toward their goals.

A Night of Celebration
This year’s presentation night was not only a celebration of individual achievement but also a chance to acknowledge the volunteers, families, coaches, and committees who support junior sport across Ipswich. As always, the highlight of the evening was seeing our finalists proudly take the stage in their presentation shirts, many for the first time, sharing the moment with their families and club representatives.
The night concluded with the exciting announcement of our 2025 Junior Sports Star winner, Nash Andrews, recognised for his outstanding achievements and commitment throughout the year.
The Junior Sports Star Awards Night continues to strengthen the Brothers sporting community by inspiring young athletes and fostering a lifelong love of sport. The event is made possible through the ongoing support of Brothers Leagues Club, whose sponsorship of the presentation dinner, trophies and certificates ensures this important tradition continues year after year.
A Few Words from Our 2025 Junior Sports Star Winner, Nash Andrews
After receiving the award, Nash shared what has inspired his journey in cricket, saying, “Always watching Australia play throughout the years and my dad use to play at Brothers, so I was inspired by him… I would also like to thank Blue Ribbon for the sponsorship and Brothers Leagues Club, my parents, Leo and Ritcho for helping me throughout the years through my Brothers journey to cricket.”
