Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich is proud to award Life Membership to Michael, recognising decades of contribution to the Club.
Michael grew up across the road from Brothers and has been involved in Juniors, Seniors and Old Boys for many years. His distinguished playing career included multiple Premierships in A Grade and Reserve Grade, after which he transitioned into leadership as Vice President of the Old Boys and took a keen interest in administration.
In 2008, Michael was elected to the Board of Directors at Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich. He took on multiple roles to learn the ropes and steadily assumed additional responsibilities. He has been a consistent member of sub-committees including Finance, Building, and Judiciary, and currently serves as Chair of the Building Committee. His business expertise and commitment have been invaluable in supporting the Club’s operations and development.
Outside the Club, Michael has been a respected local businessman for 35+ years, and his generosity has supported many sporting organisations through sponsorship and hands-on help.
Volunteers of Michael’s calibre are rare. Life Membership acknowledges his outstanding dedication, leadership, and service. We also thank Alison and the family for their support along the way.
